Printing Techniques That Can Add Metallic Effects to Your Labels
Metallic effects that add shelf-appeal and value to labels and packaging can be replicated by using inks that have light reflective metallic particles actually incorporated within them.
Another way of achieving a metallic finish is by overprinting onto foil materials. Opaque inks are selectively used to “mask out” areas of the design whilst translucent inks or varnishes allow the surface of the metallised substrate to show through to give stunning metallic decoration to the label surface
New Amberley Development – Amberley has pioneered the use of digital printing onto metallised substrates to achieve metallic finishes.
