Award Winning Digital Print
Clear on Clear Label for Fortnum and Mason
The award winning label for produced for luxury brand Fortnum & Mason Still Blenheim Palace Natural Mineral Water was produced on Amberley’s HP Indigo digital press WS4050.
This label won the FINAT 'Marketing and End-use applications' category for a 'no label look' label and the World Label Awards Association Award (WLAA)*- Class 26 Digital Printing (Excellence in Technical Achievement in Printing)
"This label was very complex to produce as it involved printing identical images, back-to-back on a clear film substrate," commented Graham Backhouse, Sales and Marketing Director, Amberley Labels.
"We had to use our digital technology to its full capabilities, printing the first image, followed by a white backing layer, then the second image in very tight register, so that images lined up perfectly. We were absolutely delighted with the quality of the final result achieved. The HP Indigo press was able to reproduce all the fine details and accurately replicate the colours required to create a highly attractive label with a striking shelf presence - exactly what Fortnum & Mason required," said Backhouse.
* The World Label Awards Association (WLAA) is a global competition in which currently 6 continents are participating: USA (TLMI), Japan (JFLP), Europe (FINAT), Australia (LATMA), New Zealand (SALMA) and India (LMAI).. In order for companies to compete and to win an award, their entry has to win a prize in their own local label awards competition first, eg TLMI , FINAT, LATMA, JFLP, SALMA or LMAI. Each Association (Chairman of the jury) then selects entries for the WLAA from their nominated or winning entries, which are judged and possibly rewarded a World Label Awards Association plaque.
