1st - 2nd February 2010
Visitors from the UK and Spain attended a two day event jointly hosted by Amberley Adhesive labels Ltd and HP Indigo. The event was arranged to give interested parties an overview of the digital label market, its processes and opportunities; showcasing the HP Indigo WS4500 and the WS6000 running side by side in our digital division.
Amberley's first digital press was installed in 2003 and since 2005 we have had representatives sitting on the HP Indigo user panel. This provides vital user feedback to the press manufacturer and contributes to shaping their future development plans whilst keeping us constantly abreast of how the market and equipment is evolving. When HP Indigo approached us to hold the event we had no hesitation in offering our support.
The event included a presentation on the digital market and HP Indigo's progress, plans and commitment to the market. A visit to the Amberley digital facility to view both presses operating under normal production conditions. Later those attending were given a tour of the local Badger Brewery, Hall & Woodhouse (with tasting opportunity) followed by dinner at the Crown Hotel in Blandford.
The dinner was also attend by press representatives and Tony White, Chair of the panel of judges of the World Labelling Association Awards, made a presentation of a WLA award to Trevor Smith (Managing Director, Amberley Labels and Richard Geller, Technical Director Amberley labels.
Hall & Woodhouse provided bottles of beer and before leaving each visitor received six bottles with personalised labels produced on our digital presses.
