Amberley set up its Special Products Division in 2002 in order to use our knowledge and experience in moving web, adhesives and powder placement to develop products and solutions for customers outside of, the more mainstream, decorative label market.

We work closely with customers to develop long-term partnerships and this allows us to bring our expertise to projects from advice right through to developing and supplying complete production processes. We have many industry contacts who can add to the sum of our knowledge and often recommendations and proposals come via this route. Amberley SPD can develop full blown products or perhaps just innovative solutions to problems that form part of an overall requirement.

We specialise in working with pressure sensitive adhesive materials, particularly in placing measured amounts of product on moving webs, at high speed and cutting/finishing of unusual substrates and constructions. By combining various materials in layers we can release products at controlled rates with a very accurate and reliable delivery system. Our developments can find usage across a wide range of industries including food, cosmetic, medical and industrial.

Past products we have developed, and produced commercially include:
1.Self adhesive Oxy absorber various sizes for a range of O2 capacities to be absorbed. This is a self adhesive label, which can be applied by high speed auto application or manually, that absorbs and locks in Oxygen to preserve the quality of foodstuffs without the need for additional chemical additives or preservatives.
