Embracing technology to benefit our customers.
Amberley Labels was founded in 1979, starting in a small garage facility with a single machine. It became a Limited company in 1983 and from those early days it quickly recognised the importance of employing the best people and utilising the latest technology.
The company was an early adopter of synthetic materials in labelling and a pioneer of in-house repro and plate making services. In 1989 these services were upgraded to include the latest electronic technology.
1993 saw Amberley Labels move to a purpose built manufacturing site designed to house all of the current facilities, Sales, Reprographics, Pre-Press, Production Presses, Rewind, Despatch, Training, Quality and Technical Support.
In 2002 the Management Team completed a management buyout and one of the first and most significant business decisions made by the team was to be the UK's first user of the HP Indigo WS4000 digital label press, installed the following year.
Two years later in 2005 the company installed a second digital press and upgraded the first so that both operated to the HP Indigo WS4050 specification. The company worked very closely in partnership with HP Indigo on existing and future press development, resulting in November 2009 in one of the WS4050 generation being replaced by the very latest HP Indigo WS6000 presses, capable of speeds two and a half times faster than the previous generation.
Today Amberley Labels is in a great position to support all of it’s customers by offering all of the traditional benefits of conventional printing and converting alongside state of the art digital label production offering fantastic quality and flexibility to many customers who previously could not, cost effectively reach those standards.
